We asked Harjeet Kaur, Test Automation Engineer at Prodigy to share some of her experiences working at the company, and why she is passionate about the tech industry. Continue reading for Harjeet's full interview.
- Q: What do you do at Prodigy?
A: I am Test Automation Engineer at Prodigy Labs. - Q: What does your day-to-day at Prodigy typically look like?
A: I start my day at 9 a.m. and usually attend the daily standup calls with the Scrum Master and development team. I have meetings usually until 11 or 12 p.m., then start with testing according to my testing plan. In between, we usually have internal discussions with the team about testing plans and issues. After completing my tasks for the day, if I have some extra time, I help my teammates or make a plan for the following day. - Q: What is your favourite part about working at Prodigy?
A: I love the flexibility that my job provides. I also love the people I work with. They are all very talented and creative and it’s always a pleasure to collaborate with them. That has been my favourite part about my job since day one. - Q: What is your favourite memory at Prodigy so far?
A: My favourite memories are from the team socials during the first few months when I joined Prodigy. - Q: How did you become interested in the tech industry?
A: I became interested in a career in technology because it's an opportunity to combine my analytical and creative skills. As a software engineer, I believe that technology provides unlimited possibilities. I find working in technology to be a rewarding career that allows me to learn new skills every day. - Q: What is something most people don't know about you?
A: One thing that almost no one knows is that I am a very good artist as well.
