Meet The Team Spotlight: Musonda Yamfwa

We asked Musonda Yamfwa, FICANEX’s Project Coordinator, to share some of her experiences working at FICANEX and how she became interested in the tech industry. Continue reading to see Musonda's full interview.

• Q: What do you do at FICANEX?
  A: I’m FICANEX’s Project Coordinator, and I am responsible for managing end-to-end project implementation for FICANEX clients within the tunl. Platform.
• Q: What does your day-to-day at FICANEX typically look like?
  A: My day-to-day is a mix between working with clients, supporting other team members of FICANEX, and engaging with our partners. Collaboration with others is a significant component of my day-to-day life while looking at ways to make procedures more efficient. 
• Q: What is your favourite part about working at FICANEX?
  A: My favourite part about working at FICANEX is our shared goal of providing innovative solutions which will help our clients better serve their members. The team is not afraid of stepping into the unknown to create a value-added product.
• Q: What is your favourite memory at FICANEX so far?
  A: My favourite memory at FICANEX so far is my very first day at work where I met with individual team members one-on-one. The casual conversations and connecting with everyone reassured my decision to join the team.
• Q: How did you become interested in the tech industry?
  A: I became interested in working in the tech industry for its ever changing landscape. It’s a space where disruption is welcomed, and standard procedures are challenged. I’m always learning something new which keeps the work interesting and never the same.
• Q: What is something most people don't know about you?
  A: Most people don’t know that I’m an avid gardener and antique shopper. Both activities require having some patience, a plan, and accepting surprises along the way. I’ve grown a variety of vegetables and flowers every season. So far my best antique find is two Tom Thomson paintings.
